Cosmetic Acupuncture

The Niroshini Cosmetic Acupuncture Ritual, created by Melissa Day, is a completely natural alternative to Botox and cosmetic surgery, addressing multiple health and beauty concerns.

Focusing on holistic well-being, the treatment combines facial and cosmetic acupuncture, together with Melissa’s Reiki practice and specialised lymphatic drainage, to create what Melissa describes as “rejuvenation from the inside out”.

The Benefits

The Niroshini Ritual not only addresses cosmetic concerns but also overall health and well-being. The “Niroshini Method” that Melissa has developed, focuses on musculoskeletal issues, as well as regulating the immune system and internal organ function.

The cosmetic acupuncture techniques, can help with many skin requirements, including sagging skin, contour, muscle tone, fine lines, wrinkles, dry skin and acne. The improvement to facial contour and sagging skin, is by using lifting and muscle toning acupuncture techniques, invigorating Qi and blood circulation.

To ensure each session is bespoke, a detailed Niroshini Treatment Plan Development session is held beforehand, via Zoom, to assess health requirements and desired results. The treatment is completely tailored to each individual.

The session also includes the option of a complementary hand and arm massage, for a truly relaxing two-hour Ritual.

“Niroshini is a brand that recognises how mind, body and spirit are all interlinked – if you’re feeling well on the inside, it’s going to show on the outside”. – Melissa Day, Integrative and Preventative Medicine Practitioner

Origins

Acupuncture is based on the theory of “Chi” or “Qi”; a life force that runs through meridians or lines in the body.

It’s thought that disease and sickness, is caused by blockages, in the flow of this energy but inserting fine needles into acupuncture points, can unblock those areas, allowing the energy to flow.

Acupuncture has been used to treat a wide variety of common illnesses including stress, addiction, pain relief and in China has even been used in open heart surgery.

Traditionally, it is thought that it originated in ancient China but recent archaeological evidence, from the Neolithic period, suggests its use may have been more widespread. The body of a five thousand year old “Iceman”, discovered in a glacier on the Austrian/Italian border, was found to have fifteen groups of tattoos on his body, correlating to contemporary acupuncture points.

There’s also new evidence, to suggest that it was connected, to the early foundation of Ayurvedic Medicine in Sri Lanka.

Facial Acupuncture

From a Western point of view, it’s through a complex neurological pathway involving cranial nerves and neurotransmitters possibly. From a Chinese point of view, it’s through the holograms represented in the Microsystems of the face which directly stimulate the internal organs and activate classical channels which end or begin in the face. These are all theories however, they are very difficult to prove or disprove.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Wrinkles and fine lines are reduced by improving facial tone and the production of collagen fiber which is stimulated by expert acupuncture needle precision.

Skin elasticity is improved by nourishing the blood of the liver and promoting facial blood and lymph circulation.

The cosmetic acupuncture affects facial contour and tone. Using the facial lifting and muscle toning techniques, invigorates Qi and blood circulation and directly stimulates the muscle proprioceptors at the origin and insertion of the muscle itself.
